Despite the weather forecast (Gales and squally showers), Anna, Ian, Andy and Arthur decided on a wet trog around Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike and Dollywagon Pike. It was like the Devil himself had suffered a bad curry the night before.
Windy? At one stage we hunkered next to a cairn unable to stand. Kelda was on her lead and pretended to be a kite. And rain? On the edge of Thirlmere we saw an old man with a long white beard building a big boat. Hmmm…. These days are always better in retrospect, and in the Abraham Tea Room we decided we’d had a great day. |
Got the pictures you took on your mobile Ian. Sorry if the low resolution images are a bit blocky. I don’t think they are too bad though…
o good grief: “Helvelyn”??!
Don’t blame me! I just paste in whatever gets sent – you need to get that bloke of yours to swallow a dictionary… 😉
