A bout of wind

The forecast for Sunday was slightly better, so I headed to to Penrith to go shopping for a wireless cctv from Aldi to set up and peek inside my bird boxes. This is planning for the future when they start nesting. At only £39.99 for a colour camera with infra red for low light conditions, and a base set that plugs into the telly with a scart socket, it was a bit of a bargain. Perhaps you may see some future posts of the birds nesting and little tiny baby birds.

Back to the trip report: High Pike was chosen today to complete the Northern Fells section of my Wainwright bagging. Parking at Nether Row, I chatted with a nice man and a dog and we discussed how busy this section of the Lake District is becoming. It was a straight up and down to the summit, but by heck it was windy.

I had other things to do today, and that was to body for a friend who is training his search dog to ‘track’ rather than just ‘air scent’. This gives Flash another string to her bow and to enable different search methods to be employed.
