Robin Proctor’s Scar

We woke up to summer.

The Lakes was going to be busy today. The Windermere marathon, the Keswick Mountain Festival and lots and lots of visitors, so we headed east to some Yorkshire Limestone.

We decided on some bolt clipping at Robin Proctor’s Scar. It’s such a lovely venue, easy access, great views and as usual, fairly quiet. It wasn’t as sunny in the east but it was still warm enough. There were only 2 other teams for most of the day, with another team joining late in the afternoon, and we all hung around the central area taking it in turns to cover the classics: Wheels on Fire, The Shield, Tombstone Blues, Subterranean Homesick Blues, and the easier Dr Frank(enstein)’s Nightmare and Just Cruisin, Living the Dream.

We had a good day, but didn’t stay too late. We had to get back to eat…
