After the past week of glorious hot sunny weather, today started overcast and with a forecast for thunder storms! Perhaps not the best day to head all the way over to Pillar. But we had plans. Plans to cycle in along the banks of Ennerdale Water with friends and get something done even if it rained! It never did rain, so we ended up enjoying Vandal (HVS). The route has a very good main pitch, well worth the long approach.
