After a day honing our skiing technique at the local ski area we headed high as the temperatures were rising in the valley. This entailed skinning in to the ice-falls and skiing back. The ice wasn’t the best as it had melted and re-frozen as a 2″ layer over crud. But all in all a great day.

Now this looks like a really awesome day! It must have been ace (what looks like) so far from the crowds of Rjukan…
Did you carry your climbing boots, or did you do the route in your ski touring boots?
We chickened out of climbing in touring boots, and carried the extra load. Not too bad, and good practice for april.
