After a well earned shopping and vegging day, Pete and I braved going on our own to a small picture framers on the outskirts of Cham. Its very difficult to do the story justice in text, but with our poor grasp of the language, the owner’s capacity for wine, and his willingness to ply us with it, there was much shrugging and misunderstanding.

Eventually, with pictures framed, we braved a lift back to the apartment, and a 1/2 hour later our new friend had returned with 7 euros change and a bottle of wine.  What brilliant service and a fitting end to a long week of skiing.
