Sarah and Anna commenced the day in Chapel Stile cafe and spent the rest of it on a sunny Raven Crag Walthwaite (having decided that mountain crags would be too windy and cold). Had a great day including Walthwaite Gully (immaculate flake crack); but sadly the only photo taken was by an unknown climber. So here is a photo of Anna and Sarah on an easier route……….

…and after our super day out we had a most enjoyable barbecue at Sarah’s, with everybody bringing lots of delicious food. Surprisingly, it was even warm enough to sit outside and eat. After the feed, everybody had a compulsory viewing of the Haute Route DVD (see Adventures entry dated 23 April). They put up with this with commendable patience.
Yes, we watched the DVD from the Haute Route on Saturday night too! But, our guests all fell asleep!
