Whinlatter Wander

Anna, Andy, Sabiene and I joined the Armstrong Watson crowd for our bi-weekly wander somewhere in the Lakes. We struck lucky; although we packed our wet weather gear, it wasn’t needed. The evening was stunning. I’ll tell you how bad the forecast was: Andy turned up without his shorts on (wearing trousers… calm down girls). Anna hastily changed out of hers in the car park.
Our route was up Grisedale Pike from Braithwaite, but just look at this crowd, talk about environmental impact! What were we thinking?
                                                      Low impact…. small group!!!!

Well, if you see a huge scar of a footpath up a hill in the lakes, yes, we’ve been there….

From Grisedale Pike it was a short hop to Hopegill Head

We were down the ridge pretty quickly and finished a great evening in the Coledale Inn . Great beer!!!!
