To bring in the new year gently, I decided on a short walk in the rain along a section of old railway near Kirkby Stephen.
Pippa needed a walk too.
The railway passes through a steep sided cutting before opening out with views over Hartley and Kirkby Stephen.
Towards the end is a fab old tree….how old is it?
