As it was such an awful day, there was no point in going anywhere exciting as the views from the tops would be same wherever you went.

So a soggy hike up the path to the Nine Standards seemed like a sensible option.

But we had a nice walk and bumped into a couple of would be vets that had come to Cumbria for a weekend away. Shame that they didn’t see the views.

Popping back to see some friends for a cup of tea and a social, warmed us up and dried us out.
