Saturday evening was the CC AGM, preceded by a showing of Leo Dickinson’s re-edited Towers of Paine film, and followed by dinner at the Lee Wood Hotel, Buxton.

We expected Sunday to dawn wet, it didn’t, the sun was out and the sky was blue. But, wow it was windy, and a cold wind too! So we resolved to locate a sunny and sheltered crag somewhere on the route home to Cumbria. Anglezarke Quarry was selected. Not a bad choice, but it was still cold in the wind. After a few routes, including the fantastic pitch of First Final (a quality E1 with nice holds suitable for cold, and numb, fingers) we scurried off home for dinner…

No pictures - sorry!
