A nice weather forecast so Phil, Fiona & I headed off to Dow Crag for a climb up Giants Crawl only a Diff but two stars and I thought enough of a challenge for my first attempt at managing two seconds on a multi-pitch climb.
This is a 7 pitch 125m climb but I linked some of the pitches and managed it in 5 pitches altogether. We had a great day out and gained the summit then walked back along the ridge and down to the car.

It may be ‘only a diff’ but it has seem more than its fair share of fatalities over the years, the most recent being about 10 years ago when a father and son team fell off the top pitch due to a loose hold coming off and inadequate belay
Two star? I thought it was a bona-fide three star classic!
Yeah, and looking at the size of Fiona’s pack, it was done in traditional style too!
Way better than my weekend – decorating my mother’s bathroom…
