Gazebo

After yesterday’s exertions, it was back to Castle Crag today. While Pete battled on the North crag with Thirlmere Eliminate, Anna and I stayed on the south side and chose Gazebo. I had done the route before, but certainly hadn’t remembered that the first pitch (4a… ha!!) was such a sandbag. The top pitch was much nicer at 5a, but we were ready to find Pete and Tish so they could show us how they had progressed in international cake consumption……….. yes, into Keswick for a home fixture where they devoured the contents of the Java coffee shop.

  1. Oh, I had a much less painful day in the right size shoes….. ouch! 😯
Thanks though Tish…. hope they recover.
Its not the first time I’ve done that though…. doh…. 😳

  2. I always find home fixtures much easier than foreign events; the travel sometimes affects my ability get up early enough to pack in a full day of cake eating! However, there does seem to be a much “fruitier” selection on offer in France… Home venues seem to favour chocolate and cream, spurning the obvious advantages of strawberries, raspberries and other exotic fruits to catch the visiting competitive cake eater on unfamiliar territory!
