Testing my ankle again

Another fantastic day in the Lake District. After yesterdays appalling weather (50 mm of rain), it turned out to be glorious. A bit chilly in the wind, but a fine day for another walk.

I parked again at Brothers Water and walked alongside the lake, noticing the river levels were pretty high, with running water along the path, but made good progress past the Brothers Water Inn and up Hartsop Dodd where the views were stunning.

Heading up Caudale Moor (Stony Cove Pike) before descending some difficult terrain to Threshthwaite Mouth and then headed off to Gray Crag.

Again stunning views all around, before returning to Hartsop and bumped in Leo, a former dog handler with SARDA Lakes, whose lovely dog Bliss retired due to an injury but is now training to be a trailing dog.

Wainwrights to go: 61

  1. Wow, that Wainwright count is coming down fast!
I think Sabiene was out last weekend on her own Wainwright campaign. I wonder if there will be any competition for who can finish first? 😉
