Chris and Paul landed in Appleby on Thursday night and were fed and watered before setting off on Friday morning for a weekend in Scotland.
Our plan was to find some nice gullies and integrate these into a walk or two.
Suffice to say we had a great climb up Central Gully on Bidean nam Bian as the weather was perfect, the snow well compacted with blue skies and very little breeze.

Not only did we have a great 7 hours out, we also ticked off another Munro.

Eh, ’bout time we heard from you – I was starting to think your legs had been cut off!
Adventures in Wales, England, Scotland, France and Canada this past weekend – Awesome!
Legs are still there last time I looked, but they had a bit of a beasting this weekend – it was a bit of a blow when my trekking poles stopped working
, so the knees took the full impact of over 2300 m of descent in 2 days.
Ouch! Sore knees.
Looks like you had a great weekend.
