No climbing today due to a morning of precipitation (a note for Terry here: precipitation is different to rain; it never rains in Lofoten).

So we had a drive down to Leknes, about 50 km away. A partially successful hunt for tonic water ensued in the supermarket with the added bonus of chocolate – both Pete and Laetitia then decided they needed the toilet. On inspection of the local ‘facilities’, Pete felt the queue was too long and Laetitia thought they smelled, either you need to go or you don’t….
Back at the ranch a proper boys dinner was consumed; pizza, followed by ‘home-made’ chocolate brownie (courtesy of Laeitita – the secret chocolate monster) with choc-chip ice cream, plus beer of course.
To round a particularly overindulgent day off; a movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still was enjoyed.

I always suspected Tish was a secret choc monster….
(used it again Jon… twice!)
Good work Grimshaw, gold star for you
So it precipitated in the morning.
What was your excuse for not climbing in the afternoon?
It was v damp all day, we had hoped it would dry out, but when it did, we’d lost all our enthusiasm…
Oops, sorry folks, forgot to cross my fingers for you…
