So, after I’m not quite sure how long, the infamous ‘Rubble Room’ is no more. Penrith’s premier bouldering venue had it’s last holds added today, ready for a winter of plastic pulling.

It’s just a shame you can’t hear the motivational tunes coming through the roof!
I wonder if I should get Bonners round to cut the ribbon?!

Is it in the loft, or are there voids behind the 30 and 45 degree walls?
You’re always welcome Pete… just remember to bring your arms (and cake?!)
It’s all essentially free standing, just a few battons screwed to the floorboards, so there’s voids behind the overhanging panels. I can still get behind the right wall for storage and to open the window when it gets too warm!
Ah ha, so while you climb in upside-down-land on the over hanging side Jon, Ian can eat cakes and climb on the slabby back-side… I’ll take pictures!
Wall looks great!!
A lot of potential for injury though, especially hitting your head on the way in! 
I hope health and safety have been round and you’ll be issuing helmets in the hallway! 
But is there a cafe selling cakes

Jon, I may have misunderstood your bedroom interior design philosophy but it looks like you have overdone the hammock attachment points and underdone the storage solutions
Colin, with your underground exploits, surely you appreciate redundancy in a system – you can’t be too careful with hammock attachments.
Great idea though – I’m gonna get me a hammock for Christmas!
I’m confused. Are these pictures of the “Rubble Room”, which is to be demolished, or are they the replacement for this room?
It used to be two very small rooms and a semi-finished shower room, built (badly) by the previous owner. After knocking a few partion walls down, I sort of forgot to finish the job (for five years or so…), hence it became known as ‘The Rubble Room’.
That is seriously scary ‘anorak’ism…still, at least it’ll keep the cold out/heat in!
Not anorakism (good word!), just lazyness.
It’s the third incarnation of my bouldering wall, the previous two versions being in the garage at the bottom of the garden. Too far to walk you see…
