The British summer: in August it rained 25 out 31 days here in the South Lakes. For those a bit slower at the maths, that’s only 6 days without rain or 19% of the month. So it was wet right? No… Despite having what seemed like an awful month for rainfall, and therefore few dry days for adventures like rock climbing, August was the driest August recorded by our weather station … ever! :shock: Check out the figures below…

Of course July was a shocker, it rained very nearly as much in July as it did in the preceding 6 months when we had a hose-pipe ban inducing drought. ;-)
