… until I got up and looked out of the window and saw the snow. So I went for a walk with Sabiene instead – here she is at Watersmeet:

Of course when we got to Caldbeck we stopped for tea and cake at the Old Smithy Cafe, but the cake tasted much better than it looked so no photo follows.
We left Andy and Ian with a chain-saw and an axe to split logs for the wood-burning stove.
