Last weekend Ian got the chance to dress up in order to be best man at a wedding. As most people know, he is not known for his sartorial elegance so this was an event worthy of recording:

Although the theme colour was purple, I am not among the bridesmaids (but see below).

I think it is only polite to dress properly for a wedding, and I was stressing a bit about getting a reasonable hat, until Sheila came to my rescue with the loan of a posh one:

Quite by chance my best dress fitted the wedding’s theme as it is purple.

Can’t help having a giggle at Ian on the phone in his penguin suit! What was it, agreeing a colour for the next job?
After seeing so many penguins in Antarctica Ian has got the perfect pose.
Love piccy 3 – perfectly co-ordinated.
Where’s the venue? – looks lovely.
Wedding: Herne Bay Baptist Church (followed by huge spread of CAKES etc. in the hall);
Photos: The Secret Gardens in Sandwich (v. pretty, and you can hire them privately for functions like this);
Reception, wedding breakfast, rock’n'roll, and buffet: The Bell Hotel, Sandwich (recommended).
I thought you said the groom had googly eyes & his ears stuck out! He looks really normal! Clever to find some purple flowers in the background too!
You made up googly eyes, how cruel. He used to have big specs.
There were lots of purple flowers in the gardens.
