Cheserys … again!

After yesterday’s adventures on the Brévent today was Laetitia’s choice of venue (of course this had nothing to do with my arms and fingers being knackered). Initially we thought we’d head up to another multi-pitch route in the Aiguille Rouge, but when we left the apartment we immediately saw the whole of the higher Aiguille Rouge tops were shrouded in heavy cloud. It was even more cloudy up high than the day before, despite the Mont Blanc side of the valley being cloud free. Having spent the previous day in the shade we fancied somewhere where we could enjoy the sun and not freeze in our shorts and t-shirts. But due to the change of venue we didn’t have the right guidebook with us, so a venue we knew fairly well had to be selected at short notice. Les Cheserys was picked out. We knew it would be sunny, and the hour and half approach wash’t too bad a proposition. At least we’d save the money we’d planned to spend on the lift up La Flégère.

Here are a few shots of the lovely sunny climbing… (And another one for Colin… :yum: )
