Despite the rapid approach of spring, and although it was dry (not raining), it wasn’t a day for rock climbing. But it was definitely a day to get out and enjoy the Lakeland fells
The highlight of the week was when Dean & Dave overlapped their week's skiing with the end of ours and we joined up for a weekend of fun that ended with a descent of the Vallee Blanche...
Richard and Ali came over to the Lakes this weekend... Snow was forecast, yet Saturday morning dawned cold and clear, though that didn't last long.
We got a postcard from Antarctica today!
Saturday morning dawned bright, clear, and cold. Plus it had snowed a lot up high on Thursday and Friday. This was the weather I had been hoping for for some time to get out and climb Bowfell Buttress in winter-nick.
After yesterday up on Pavey with glorious blue sunny skies and dry warm rock today was again brilliantly sunny when we rolled out of bed! What’s happening, two great days of weather, in winter, and at the weekend…
Wow, the first awesome weather in the Lakes for what seems like weeks and weeks, and we were at home…
