Thought I'd take a look at our local patch this afternoon and wander round the Kentmere Horseshoe. I decided to walk up the valley towards the reservoir this time and then catch the path up towards the Nan Bield Pass.
Great fun (and exercise) rushing around the forest getting dirty!
Ian decided to go for the sympathy vote by crashing over his handle bars.
It can't be true, the second bank holiday of the rock climbing season proper and it's nice weather again! The gods must be smiling on climbers for a change!
A bit of rain today, so no climbing. But that didn't stop play, oh no! Out came the bikes, and off for a round of Kentmere we went.
A day at Shepherds crag. Dave enjoyed Ardus (MVS) (as you can see from his grin!) and I think (?) he enjoyed Jaws (E1) too...
It's one of the best scrambles in the Lakes! So what better way to kick off the Easter Bank Holiday weekend?

Taking a break from the never ending task of decorating the guest bedroom, aiming to get it complete before the spring and summer weather arrives and the climbing season is in full swing, we thought we'd have a different kind of swing!
Capella (E1) is an awesome route in any conditions.
Its been open for five months and we've only just got round to a visit!
