Cracked Actor, Trowbarrow

After two days of hard gardening it was time to do some hard climbing to justify calling ourselves climbers! But with a poor holiday forecast (thundery showers!), where to go? The answer, the south facing sheltered limestone of Trowbarrow. We’ve been here once before to tick the easier classics Jean Jeanie (VS) and Assagai (HVS). However, on that visit I noticed Cracked Actor (E2) and thought it looked like a great line. It is. Although almost every inch of the route is testing (sustained and steep) the climbing is totally absorbing – check out Laetitia’s smile!

  1. Yes, would be great to get a trip down here organised.
How long do you have to wait for the false foot? Are you having one of those special climbing ones fitted? They are based on geko feet I think… 😉
