It was wet today! So wet that we almost stayed home and looked out of the windows wishing we were more dedicated… Are we just fair weather climbers? Then we remembered what fun we had on Liewedd in January! Yes we are dedicated! We quickly got our packs together and headed to Borrowdale, our target, the classic Corvus on Raven Crag.
| We expected to have the crag to ourselves with such awful weather. We didn’t, and amongst the others was Sir Chris! Bonnington was there “enjoying” the wet weather climbing too. What more proof did we need that this really was the place to be today? None. A great day, and to top it off the rain stopped and we enjoyed rainbows at first then blue skies over the Lakes as we drove home for a well earned beer. |

I think I remember doing Corvus in the rain with you two and Clive W. Am I right?
Best way to do it I suppose - a least you didn’t have to queue.

Yes, we did do Corvus with Clive. I wonder how he is doing these days?

Well done you two. Once again proving that only dedication or pure masochism is the driving force to getting to the cag!!!!!

Ian - yep that’s us, masochists!
Dave - Crickey, nothing gets by you does it! Yeah, got a mega deal on a super light weight BD bag. But I’ll never catch up with your bag count!
