Dave & Fiona on the walk from Ogwen to Craig Yr Ysfa
Sunday’s weather wasn’t quite as sunny as forecast, but that wasn’t gonna get in the way of our planned adventure up to Craig Yr Ysfa to show Dave & Fiona up the awesome mountaineering classic – Amphitheatre Buttress…
We started late, so we weren’t surprised when we saw at least 10 teams already on the route. We teamed up: Laetitia and Fiona, and Pete and Dave, then headed up the route. It was a great day with magnificent views. By the time we topped out, the clouds had gone and we had the place completely to ourselves in the beautiful evening sunshine.

Another great pic on the pinnacle; it looks like you had better weather than us further north.
Really, I heard it was hot (T-shirts and shorts) over in the Howgills…
We had an ace time, finally some nice weather to go climbing in. September & October look mad busy for us so will try and get some posts of our adventures in!
