A Dream of White Horses

I think Laetitia was fairly pleased with herself today – she’d fancied doing “Dream” for ages, but for reason (hordes of people on the route) or another (good weather and me wanting to go somewhere else) we’d not got round to it. But today, expecting good weather we headed to Wen Zawn to try something hard – but the weather turned and started drizzling! Hmm, good conditions for a trip across A Dream of White Horses… “It’s really only a VS,” I told Laetitia, “just that it’s in the most awesome position!!!”. I went on (quietly) “Oh, and a little serious with a very long traverse with 70m of air between you and the sea!”

Laetitia did a fine job leading the amazing (Wen) slab pitch and I didn’t even know it was raining traversing under the overhangs on the last pitch until I topped out and Laetitia yelled across complaining about the rock being wet or something… 😆

Big grins all round – not a sunny day as promised by the weather forecasters, but never-the-less a great day out.

  1. It was brilliant! 🙂
Not at all like a 5a, and before the drizzle there was loads of great friction.
Fortunately the sea was calm, we even had a seal watching us for a bit. Now I can’t wait for those sea cliffs down in Cornwal…
