Running around the Stiperstones

The weather has been amazing this weekend and we took full advantage of it by running around the Stiperstones area, in Shropshire. Thankfully there was a breeze for most of the day, so we didn’t get too hot. Richard came up with the route, which was partly inspired by a section of the Long Mynd Hike route and partly by his desire to go up hills. It was a fab route though, from the top of almost every hill we climbed, we could see exactly where we had been.

Here’s the route (26.3 km) in picture format:

…and we even finished the day with ice cream in the Cafe at The Bog.

  1. … I think it’s those rocks visible on the skyline to the left of the panorama that there’s some climbing on! I went there after work soloing once when I was based in Telford.

    1. I thought that some of the rocks might be climbable when I ran past them, so you’re probably right. The panorama was taken from the top of one of the larger rocks, so maybe it was that one (it had a trig point on top)?!
