Wednesday and Friday this week saw Ian helping out Sean and Caroline at their Expedition Medicine course held in Keswick.
Not the fattest Sloe berries, but it has been a very dry summer.
Laetitia, Mum (Wesley; Mum's dog) and I enjoyed a cruise on Windermere in the brilliant late summer sunshine today.
A lazy day saw us at our local beach. The 3 scoops of famous Twentyman's ice cream was well worth the 5 mile walk....
Saturday saw us head up to Sergeant Crag Slabs for a bit of pre-Kalymnos practice.
I'm not sure if the Staveley guys were the best. If they weren't, they were only narrowly beaten by the guys from Luton (pictured above). Either way the procession through the streets of Kendal were an amazing flash of colour and sound!
Yes, the main picture is a fake! Well, in that it wasn't taken today. However, the picture right was taken just after the rain stopped. I'm not sure it shows the wet rock clearly, but it was running!
Despite the miserable weather (can it rain more?), we made the journey from the VERY wet Lakes to the REALLY wet Peaks to support Boris' meet at the Roaches.
We braved the pouring rain (along with about 5998 other people - according to "official" estimates) in Kendal this morning. It was wet! But we wanted to join in the cry to save threatened services at the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal.
