Thought I recognised Bernie & Terry from somewhere...
It is widely believed that the recent Rjukan trip was for climbing but there was a far more sinister plot afoot....
Car Camping, Snowy Scotland, Roaming Reindeer, Slow Skiing, Mini Marathons and Heavenly Hot Chocolate - there would be more , but there is a limit...
Chamonix ended up being quite expensive: I left my super red lunch box on the plane (and no one handed it in, so someone's knicked it! Or they did a controlled explosion on it - nothing on the news though, so maybe not); broken back tooth; broken rucksack...
Over the last few months both myself and Andy have got hold of new bits of kit to try with our rebreathers but owing to circumstance we had not been able to test them...
The Nine Standards again .... but better weather this time....
The plan for today was to dive in Tucks Rift. The weather forecast that had predicted the dry spell would end on Friday had been wrong, sadly so had the forecast that had predicted the weather front would come across late on Saturday...
We crunched our breakfast this morning - un pain avec abricot confiture - and something crunched harder than I expected. I'd broken my tooth! But nothing was going to stop play today...
On the off chance we went to see Don Mescall in Kirkby Stephen.
The meal was excellent and Penny's Pear Tart Tartin was to die for, followed by 2 hours of Don's excellent music.
