We were going to Iceland, however we changed our minds at the last minute and headed to Italy instead...
This weekend Anna and I headed to The Downes hut to meet up with friends from our old climbing club in London. Paul headed south from Barnsley and also joined us.
It wasn't raining, but I was feeling cold and I didn't want to venture high. I wanted to avoid the potential crowds (!) on low-lying Lakeland rock and so I decided that we should head east to Yorkshire. I like the area near Austwick, so Pete picked a new venue for us - Pot Scar...
One evening earlier during my working stay in Livingston - on a visit to the Ratho climbing centre - I'd spotted the famous Forth rail bridge on the horizon. That'll be worth a visit I thought, and it's only 10 miles away with the added bonus of including a trip to the seaside...
Last weekend Mina and I drove to the Northern Vosgese climbing spots about an hour from our place in Karlsruhe...
Tuesday evening is normally climbing time but work and weather seem to have colluded to prevent any activity until now...
The weather didn't look so great on Sunday morning when we eventually got out of bed. The 'A' Team at Grange were off to Black Crag, but we thought the rain was imminent, so we chose a very unusual activity for us - a walk...
Maintenance meet/meat.....
With bad weather forecast for the maintenance meet w/e, Anna and I headed out for a quick evening trip up Haystacks with the AW walking group.
