The weekend of September 29th and 30th was the Rab Mountain Marathon in the Lake District. We drove up Friday night after Richard had arrived back from Boston that morning. Perhaps not the best preparation...

My mum and dad came to visit this weekend and as the forecast was reasonable (not raining) we decided to take a trip to Leighton Moss to check out the birds. Pete was excited, and then he realised we'd be looking at the feathered variety...

We were up to visit Fiona's Parents & Sister for their 56th & 30th wedding anniversaries but we managaed to get a climb of Little Chamonix in as well...
The weather forecast for the weekend looked great on Tuesday. Every day since then it has deteriorated and opening the curtains this morning revealed the truth, it had - grey and damp. Not the best weather for the adventure Jon and I had planned...
