Having finally got back through the monsoon of the midlands, Chris and Sarah persuaded Jon, Anna and me to head up to High Crag, Buttermere.
Came acoss this madman close to the border.....
Sunday, and with a great weather forecast Ian, Anna, Andy and Sabiene headed for Scout Crag in Langdale...
Sunday morning 6am..... Sarah, Sheila (Sarah's mum) and Ian were to be found setting up their pitch at the Cockermouth car boot sale.
I shouldn't have opened that radioactive tin of paint.......
Monday evening saw me and Pete high on Green Gable, in wind and cloud. We found Steve, but no sign of Anne in the cloud.....
Summer let us down again in the Lakes.............. with rain threatening in Langdale we headed again for Raven Crag, (close to the road) and the rain duly arrived; no sign of Gene Kelly, but better footwork from Tish as she danced up the wet rock.....................
Midweek sunshine and I met Pete at Shepherds to grab a route after work. After all the slab climbing on bolts in Chamonix, Pete fancied something steeper....... half way up we realised just what training we needed to do.......
Nobody about or meet at Shepherds...... all away in sunny climes on sunny climbs
