Wednesday and Friday this week saw Ian helping out Sean and Caroline at their Expedition Medicine course held in Keswick.
A lazy day saw us at our local beach. The 3 scoops of famous Twentyman's ice cream was well worth the 5 mile walk....
Saturday saw us head up to Sergeant Crag Slabs for a bit of pre-Kalymnos practice.
Ian, Anna, Andy and Sabiene snatched a gap in the weather to dash to Shepherds for tea at the caff and a quick route.
Ian, Anna, Andy and Sabiene braved overcast skies and headed for the South crag on Castle Rock for a pootle about on some easy routes.
Only 5 minutes from home, and the map comes out for the first time. Probably why Pete told us the ride would take 2 hours. It might have done if we'd done the 2 hour route!
While we were all out following Pete somewhere in Kentmere, Steph settled down for a 6 hour stint in front of Pete's big screen.
Ian, Anna, Andy, Sabiene and Arthur braved the weather, 100's of other walkers and the vomit-inducing mementoes, plaques and even an urn to reach the top of Ben Nevis.
Having followed Pete all the way up to the only crag in the Lakes where it rained in July, we'd at least hoped he knew the way.
