Terry and various partners have been working through ‘Western grit’ and slowly nudging east. Saturday and glorious weather saw Terry and Chris at Laddow crag. Dangerously east of Glossop, far up Longdendale, about an hour’s walk (as far as Dow or Gimmer). Looking back down Longdendale from Laddow crag, towards Woodhead reservoir, a good walk! …
Despite an awful Saturday and miserable start to Sunday, the day turned out well in the Lakes and the rock was summer-dry. Aspirant Chris and I were keen to suss out the proposed CC hut site (and very well sited it seems indeed) so decided to spend the morning on South Castle Rock. We met …
I am beginning to think that the sun always shines at Castle Naze. Standing in the car park, the wind was blowing and it felt quite cold. We were on the brink of turning back but the 10 minute walk to the crag brought us into a microcosm of Costa Blanca sunshine and warmth. Not …

Stanley is the face furthest right (the great …

It certainly hadn’t occurred 2 weeks ago. The fall is from the previously overhanging, loose section immediately above the top little traverse on ‘Derision Grove’. This …
Look forward to some good shots on these pages...
Well Kats, summer seems to have arrived...
