When the weather is as good as this the Lakes are unbeatable! Three super sunny days on a bank holiday weekend – brilliant. But for once we didn’t give every day over to rock climbing. Instead we made a plan that had each day dedicated to a different outdoor pursuit…
The gorgeously clear blue water around Sardinia deserved a closer look, so I spent a half day kayaking the coastline between Santa Maria Navarrese and Pedra Longa.
I’d had the week booked off from work for months, but we hadn’t got around to booking anything.
With no training and only a couple of quick dips in the water this year I made the crazy decision to enter the Great North Swim again.
The weather this past bank holiday has been amazing in the Lake District. In fact the whole of the North West has been enjoying a prolonged period of settled sunny weather. 😀 Especially nice that, in an unusual turn around of the normal way of things, the South East has been getting rained on. 😉
