On Saturday, Richard and I met Colin and Sloth in Bernies cafĂ©, where we were assembling for a trip down Bar Pot (the second time within a month for Colin and I). A few hours later we started down the pot and descended down the two large pitches which I rigged. Following we took a walk about Gaping Ghyll Main Chamber and then onto Mud Hall; a place where Sloth and Richard had not yet been. We were planning to go to the Whitsun Series, however the noses of Colin and Sloth detected explosives so we decided to retreat back the same way as we came. A fine trip and very muddy in Boulder Chamber (?) … very very sticky.
Sunday was going to be a restful day for Richard and I as Colin was off down Grey Wife. However during a brief spell in Bernies, we bumped into Stevie T., Richard A. and Wayne S. who were going caving in the Bull Pot area. They invited us along, so our rest day turned into an awesome through trip, going into County Pot and out of Wretched rabbit, via Stop Pot and Straw Chamber, which was awesome - a huge chamber with perhaps 5000 straws on the roof.
A little bruised and battered, but a great weekend.
(no pics this time… so this one is recycled from the last trip down Bar Pot)

I didn’t really have a sunburnt nose … that is just Colin’s amazing camera skills!
