After the excitement of the steam train in the morning we rushed over to Crummackdale to meet up with Anna and Ian for some single pitch limestone adventure.

Crummackdale looking back to Wharfe
Crummackdale sits above the lovely hamlet of Wharfe (near Austwick) and seemed to be in the perfect position for the sun. It got quite Mediterranean at one point.
It was a little nervy at first – getting used to the limestone – but it was slab country so just the style I like.

Laetitia on Olympus
Ian decided to make it all bit harder for himself by leaving his rock shoes behind. He squeezed into mine (…. reminder to myself – must disinfect shoes!!
).

These aren't my rock shoes!

A good day was had by all, leaving the crag at 6pm as the colours were turning orange.
