A post CC AGM day in Cwm Idwal

Although we did get out Saturday morning for a bit of bumble around the Llanberis slate quarries most of the day was taken up with CC business. I had a presentation to deliver about the Ynys Ettws refurbishment, then there was the AGM, talks from Mina Mina Leslie-Wujastyk and Maddie Cope, and finally dinner and Johnny Dawes’ after dinner address. A busy day!

Sunday however, although still bitterly cold with the fierce Siberian wind from the east, was a totally free day. So we set about a walk from Ogwen Cottage up in to Cwm Idwal. I’d noticed there was loads of water-ice so I had taken my ice tools hoping to solo something while the girls (Laetitia, Alison, Astrid, and Phillipa) and Zac continued on through the Devils Kitchen to summit Y Garn.
