Lakeland August Bank Holiday

It seems that global warming is real! Who knew? Anyway, that means that we had great weather for the August Bank Holiday in the Lakes, when really we all know it should have been raining… 😉

A Longish Bike Ride

A day on the Water

Paddling from Grasmere, via the Rothay and Rydal Water, to Windermere Was a great adventure in the canoe – complete with some minor rapids! We portaged the boat for one short section, and Zac only fell out of the boat once! 🙂

Climbing in Eskdale

We walked in to Eskdale in questionable weather – the cloud was low filling the valleys and everything was sodden wet! But we had faith that it would lift and become the promised sunny day. We were right and enjoyed some typically awesome climbing on Esk Buttress … and got some guidebook photography work completed. Nice!
