Sunday arrived as perfect as forecasted – wall to wall sunshine. But instead of jumping on the first lift up to the Aiguille du Midi to bag a rock route, we decided to let the sun do it’s stuff and hopefully melt any snowy ledges while we hopped over the border to Switzerland.
It is exactly seven years to this very weekend that Terry, Pete and Tish stood under the Cascade du Dar in fresh falling snow.

We surprised ourselves this week when we agreed that some new scenery away from the Chamonix pistes was an exciting idea... An adventurous excursion was called for, and so on Wednesday we booked bus tickets to Verbier for a full day of Swiss piste bashing.
