Powder Day

Friday, 30th December 2011
Grouse (?) tracks.
An eventful, if not entirely happy, day in the snow... How is it that there can be too much snow to travel, but not enough to ski?

Verbier

Thursday, 29th December 2011
We surprised ourselves this week when we agreed that some new scenery away from the Chamonix pistes was an exciting idea... An adventurous excursion was called for, and so on Wednesday we booked bus tickets to Verbier for a full day of Swiss piste bashing.

Les Houches and Aiguillette des Houches

Wednesday, 28th December 2011

Happy Christmas from Chamonix

Sunday, 25th December 2011
We woke up late, again. Chamonix seems to do this to me. I blame it on the clear air and the snug warm apartment, but perhaps this time it was also because the streets were very quiet. Father Christmas had done his job and most people seemed to be pre-occupied in doors.
