After two days of hard gardening it was time to do some hard climbing to justify calling ourselves climbers! But with a poor holiday forecast (thundery showers!), where to go?

After the wonderful dinner and wine last night we felt a little tired this morning and so we headed up to Quayfoot Buttress, Borrowdale for a short approach to a not too long climb...

So while the Sterlings and friends are wandering around the Alps on planks, some of us have been taking advantage of the jolly pleasent weather we've been having of late...

A very tough choice of venue today. Lots of climbers, fickle weather, and tired legs...

We set out for Borrowdale today, wanting a short walk-in after a week that had seen us on Ben Nevis and Pavey Ark...
