From Yorkshire Dales
Dave finally got his second trip and training session in one of the RAF Sea King helicopters. It had taken 7 attempts to get a RAF helicopter to the Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue Team's base.
We went down Giants Hole at the weekend when it was slightly wet!!!! Water was gushing everywhere, great fun!
The weather relented (slightly) on Sunday, and Anna, Ian, Andy, Pete and Sarah dragged themselves out of bed (unlike Sabiene) for a round of the tops behind Braithwaite.
Two colds, one hangover, two gammy knees, one bust finger, one bad hip, one dodgy toe, and lots of rain....
With Anna away in Newcastle, and Andy up in Fort William, Sabiene and I decided to have a day on the hill to get some much needed fitness into the legs.
Sunny Barnsley! Ian and Anna were staying with Steph and Paul and joined by Laetitia,we decided to have an afternoon bike through some beautiful woodland.
Saturday saw Ian, Anna, Andy and Sabeine take a stroll over Mart crag and High Rigg.
To help blow (or more accurately, wash) the hangover from the night before at the FRCC Centenary Banquet away we decided to brave the rain and go for a bumble up Eskdale today.
