Despite the weather forecast (Gales and squally showers), Anna, Ian, Andy and Arthur decided on a wet trog around Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike and Dollywagon Pike.
Wow! Mid-summer weather in October. Ian, Anna, Pete, Laetitia, Terry and Vicky took the opportunity to find a south facing crag close to the road.
Why does it seem that more and more road works are springing up wherever I look. Coming down Red Pike yesterday we came across this set of repairs...
The bridleways around Kentmere offer a massive number of alternate routes for mountain biking. No wonder it's so popular here!
With threatening clouds over the Lakes Ian, Anna, Andy and Sabiene took the chance for another long walk along the Solway coast.
We wanted to go somewhere new today. So we settled for a trip to the granite outcrops of Eskdale. First on the hit list was Bell Stand.
Took my R6 for a track day at Donnington Park.
Dave has an incredibly diverse groups of mates; weirdo cavers, nutter motorcyclists, a few loony climbers, some computer geeks, and one or two semi-professional beer drinkers. Then realise that that makes Dave all of the above!
We hoped for more of the amazing weather today, but alas, just as we turned into the Duddon Valley it started to rain. But there was no way that we weren't going to climb after the long drive to get there!
