Laetitia, Mum (Wesley; Mum’s dog) and I enjoyed a cruise on Windermere in the brilliant late summer sunshine today. It would have been a great day for one last trip to Scafell or the like, but actually seeing the Lakes from a lake is well worthwhile too. Something we don’t do too often… We stopped at Ambleside, which was heaving with tourists, for tea and a scone before heading back to Bowness. A great day out for my visiting mother!
