From what I’ve posted so far one could think that there’s no climbing in Hungary at all. Well, today I can show that there is! I made an easy decision today, I preferred climbing to work and took a day off as my club asked me to help with a TV interview for a local sports channel. We went to a climbing area near Budapest, just 30 min drive from the city.

I don’t know how long the final TV programme will be but they practically filmed all the basics – including even a fall, just to show that it’s no big deal. Here they shoot how to place protection.

We invited some sleek competition climber kids to make the programme more interesting. They practiced some moves at the bottom of the rocks, I was impressed!

They proved their skills higher up as well! This is a grade VI route!!!

Finally spring is here! The weather was gorgeous, even lizards appeared to bask in the sunshine.

Now that it’s getting dark later and later we can get out here to practice after work and this is just what we are going to do at least twice a week! :star:
