After R&R’s amazing mountain marathon blog I am a bit reluctant to post this one, but can’t help being pleased with myself: I got my first trail race prize, winning my class!! 🙂 🙂

There are no other runners in the second picture. Is that because you’re way out in front? 😉
Well, I was in front of about a third of the entrants. But of course the problem is that you can see only the hordes in front and not those behind so you always feel as if you are last!!

I can honestly say that I have never won a bottle of windscreen cleaner. Our most amusing prize, of course, is the bag that turns into a towel! You’ll probably remember reading about that on here somewhere! 🙄

Sadly there was no cake stall- those usually happen only at commercial races, not club races – more’s the pity!
