Laurence and Beth visited us for a week of glorious sunny Lakeland weather…
Laetitia was busy getting ready for the big family BBQ later in the week, so I went out with Laurence and Beth up Helvellyn via Striding Edge to kick off the week of adventures. Beth had never been to the Lakes before, so I thought this would be a fine introduction… 🙂
We also another day of adventure nearby – taking the canoe out on to Ullswater. The four of us (well, five really with Zac) had a great time with a picnic on the shore. Laetitia and I also paddled across to the big jumps and swing on the eastern shore! 😀
Then at the end of the week “everyone” came round for a big family BBQ! What a great gathering it was! The incredible weather hung on for us and everyone enjoyed themselves with a proper BBQ garden party. Plus, we had a croquet game set up
