Scout Scar is a new location for us, surprising as it’s the closest crag to our home. With easy access from Kendal, a super short walk in (just ten minutes), and amazing views of Morecombe Bay, Kentmere and the central fells – a top spot. However, it was this view that provided the warning for the fast approaching rain that washed us off the crag just seconds after I reached the top of the route shown above (Born to Run, E3).
